Job Summary

You will serve as a Environmental Protection Specialist of COMMANDER NAVY REGION EUROPE.

Major Duties

  • You will develop and evaluate policy for environmental protection and compliance throughout the regions area of responsibility.
  • You will direct the operation and maintenance of the Environmental Project Review process.
  • You will assign work based on priorities, difficulty, and capabilities of employees.
  • You will serve as the principal advisor for the functions for the functions of Naval On-Scene Coordinator.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifying, planning, organizing, and developing program solutions to issues impacting environmental compliance; 2) Conducting detailed analysis of proposed regulations, processes, procedures, and principles for integrating environmental factors to improve operational processes and procedures; and 3) Reviewing environmental standards, specifications, and plans of complex projects in order to ensure compliance with environmental requirements; and 4) Overseeing budgeting formulation and execution for environmental programs. Physical demands include extensive walking in airports, to and from offices, as well as field trips: carrying luggage, computer and field gear. Field trips are often on rough terrain or aboard naval ships.

Pay Range

$92,977.00 - $120,868.00
