Job Summary

You will serve as a ENVIROMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the ENVIROMENTAL DIVISION, FACILITIES MANAGEMENT of NMRTC SAN DIEGO CA.

Major Duties

  • You will serve as technical advisor on matter and provide guidance concerning environmental compliance.
  • You will recommend initial project priorities based on environmental program requirement and/or existing or forthcoming regulatory changes.
  • You will disseminate new/revised policies, regulations, and standards.
  • You will ensure that NMCSD remains in compliance with all the federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • You will review facility environmental plans and develop guidance on proper environmental management.
  • You will develop, implement and administer the hospital?s environmental programs.
  • You will investigate, analyze and seek to resolve a range of standard and non-standard environmental problems.
  • You will maintain a central database system for al environmental program/projects.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience preparing policy, documentation, and written instruction for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Experience providing proposals regarding environmental alternatives, mitigation strategies, and necessary environmental action as it relates to federal environmental regulations.

Experience developing written goals, objectives and milestones to improve assigned programs per current/ and or forthcoming federal, state and local regulatory requirements.

Experience investigating all Notice of Violations (NOV's) and take the necessary corrective actions to ensure compliance or take immediate actions to return to compliance. Pay Range

$85,865.00 - $111,629.00
