Major Duties

  • Evaluates alternatives in order to make a determination, draw a conclusion or solve a problem.
  • Develop execution policy and procedures for environmental programs within the Major Subordinate Commands, installation, facilities and activities throughout the Army Reserve.
  • Briefs chain of command, including Headquarters level leadership, on program status, environmental challenges, and proposed solutions.
  • Initiates, manage, administer, and approve plans that translate environmental requirements into proposed projects, contracts, and other acquisition strategies.
  • Resolve highly technical administrative and project problems related to environmental requirements and regulations.
  • Identify environmental risk and develop key targets and mitigation plans to reduce negative impacts and advance sustainability objectives, with a mission-oriented focus.
  • Review and approve subordinate installation?s? funding requests to ensure sufficient resources to support prioritized program objectives.

Specialized experience is defined as: Planning, developing, reviewing, evaluating, and participating directly in the establishment and implementation of environmental protection and enhancement policies and programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower or second grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Pay Range

$99,172.00 - $128,920.00
