Job Summary
Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Major Duties
- Manage environmental programs such as: Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) or Clear Air Act.
- Incorporate federal, state, and local regulatory requirements into program design for implementation and evaluation of project efforts.
- Conduct inspections of facilities and operations to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
- Provide recommendations to key personnel on environmental compliance matters to ensure meeting regulatory compliance for environmental projects.
- Analyze laboratory reports to determine the presence of hazardous environmental conditions to ensure compliance.
- Participate as member of environmental response team.
- Ensure proper spill reporting to state, local and federal agencies.
- React to all actual emergencies for response team.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Managing or assisting with the management with one or more Environmental Programs; 2) Assisting with informal and formal inspections for environmental compliance; or 3) Interpreting and applying environmental and safety related laws, regulations and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: environmental science. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Pay Range
$51,440.00 - $66,868.00
