Job Summary

Major Duties

You will:

-Develop special reports and position papers for the Director to use for program planning and decision-making;

-Review and comment on environmental documentation and written materials prepared for the approval of Director or Deputy Director;

-Serve as management advisor conducting special assignments on administrative and procedural matters of concern;

-Ensure Quality Assurance (QA) activities that incorporate Agency and international quality policies, requirements, and guidance for implementation; and

-Serve as the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) QA Manager (QAM) developing solutions to information management problems.

Qualifications

You do not need a degree to qualify for this position.We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as providing administrative and/or programmatic support to management; and overseeing the implementation of a Quality Assurance (QA) program.Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Skill in written communication; 2) Knowledge of federal, state and local laws related to environmental protection; 3) Skill in using standard data gathering and analysis techniques; 4) Skill in oral communication; 5) Ability to develop Quality Assurance (QA) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs), andQuality Assurance Review Forms (QARFs).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Pay Range

$102,663.00 - $133,465.00
