Job Summary
This position is located in the Department of Commerce, Office of the Secretary, Washington, District of Columbia. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Program Manager responsible for the Departments sustainability, energy and environmental programs.
Major Duties
- Formulate and conduct a research or non-research (scientific, engineering computing, economics, statistical, or social science-related) program of considerable scope and complexity under general guidance on policy.
- Direct a research team in all phases of the program; or spends 25% or more of time providing technical supervision over a significant workload of mission-supporting scientific and engineering work.
- Serve as the Program Manager responsible for the Departments sustainability, energy and environmental programs.
Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic AND Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below. Basic Requirement: You must meet one of the items listed below (A, B, or C):A. Possess a degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (Must provide transcripts)B. Possess a combination of courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.. (Must provide transcript) AND Specialized Experience: ZP-4: You qualify for the ZP-4 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent band in the Federal government, performing the following duties: Planning, implementing and assessing the success of sustainability program initiatives; Generating and submitting executive level reports on sustainability; Developing strategic plans to meet organizational sustainability goals; and Serving as a sustainability program liaison. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification. Pay Range
$99,172.00 - $152,352.00
