Job Summary
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center, Transnational Directorate, Weapons of Mass Destruction Division, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
Major Duties
- Performs a variety of analytical and computational duties to produce finished scientific and technical intelligence products, including forecasts and overall assessments on foreign country capabilities to produce chemical warfare (CW) agents.
- Researches and analyzes scientific and technical intelligence information related to foreign country CW agent production capabilities, characteristics, limitations and vulnerabilities.
- Responsibilities include all activities associated with the development and maintenance of production facilities; including materials, components, technologies, expertise, equipment, organization and networks.
- Assesses the industrial and military manufacturing processes and technologies applicable to CW including pilot-plant capabilities and associated raw materials, production processes, technologies, capacities and potential rates of precursors/agents.
- Assesses capabilities, characteristics, limitations and vulnerabilities of the equipment and technology used to store and transport precursors and agents to CW-related production facilities, including methods and monitoring of transport and storage.
- Collaborates with Army, DoD and intelligence community colleagues to resolve analytical and computational issues and briefs CW assessments to Army and DoD customers.

Pay Range
$88,704.00 - $115,313.00
