This is an Interdisciplinary, GS-12 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division (SWD), Fort Worth District, Engineering and Construction Division. Duty location may be Fort Worth Texas or McAllen Texas. A relocation/recruitment incentive, not to exceed $10,000 may be offered to the selectee of this position. Total amount of payment is at management's discretion.
Major Duties
- Receive design directives and determine the scopes of work.
- Attend meetings and makes site visits for planning purposes, to provide technical assistance, and to identify issues and provide resolution.
- Develop cost estimates and schedules for design projects.
- Negotiate and administer contracts with Architectural-Engineering (A-E) firms.
- Draft the contractual agreements, findings of fact, and other contractual documents.
- Coordinate major projects for users in various stages of completion.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Develop scope of work for Architectural-Engineering contract awards; AND 2) Identify potential issues with design and/or construction to avoid delays. AND 4) Manage construction progress to ensure milestones are met. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Pay Range
$74,596.00 - $104,138.00
