Job Summary
This position serves as a Project Manager. This is an interdisciplinary position which may be filled under any of the following titles and occupational series, depending on the qualifications of the applicant: Archeologist 0193, Biologist 0401, General Engineer 0801, Civil Engineer 0810, Environmental Engineer 0819, Mechanical Engineer 0830, Electrical Engineer 0850, Computer Engineer 0854, Physical Scientist 1301, Hydrologist 1315, or Geologist 1350.
Major Duties
- Serves as Civil Works Project manager, responsible for managing the coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scope, development, design, construction, and direction of civil works studies and projects.
- As the project leader, implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations and policy in the development of the project and the intermediate products in support of the projects.
- Coordinate with other district element and agencies to determine the impact of work by others on existing and future Corps of Engineers projects and on the natural and human environment.

In addition to meeting the Basic Requirement for one of the series above, you must also meet the specialized experience below:
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as experience work that involves experience in the following areas: Experience with (1) application of engineering principles associated with Civil Works Water resources infrastructure projects; (2) construction contract management; (3) construction quality control/quality assurance; (4) familiarity with cost engineering or value engineering associated with Civil Works programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical or work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).Education cannot be substituted at the GS-12 grade level. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Pay Range
$74,596.00 - $96,978.00
