Job Summary
Leghorn Army Depot/Camp Darby only has local community health care available on a pay as you go basis. We recommend that you contact your health insurer to ensure they will cover you in Italy. Camp Darby has one school for children in grades K through 8. Grades 9-12 are serviced through Florence International School (FIS) on a space available basis and strict admission standards (FIS is 1.5 hrs away and bus transportation is available). Major Duties
- Incumbent is expected to plan, administer and direct the installation facility management program in accordance with established higher command plans, policies and regulations; laws and statutes, and generally defined local goals and objectives.
- Incumbent serves as the Director, Directorate of Public Works exercising full authority for management and operation decisions related to engineering and environmental activities, housing and overall DPW logistical support activities
- Plan and manage the repair and utilities program, coordinating requests for alterations, modifications, and new construction with the Garrison Master Plan.
- Participate with the Program, Budget, and Manpower Division and other directorate personnel in preparing, justifying, and adjusting the directorate budget.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all facilities work performed by contractors.

Specialized experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes responsibility for the planning and managing a small installation facilities operation and maintenance program, applying professional engineering, architectural and environmental knowledge developing feasible designs and plans that are cost effective and environmentally acceptable for US government and Host Nation authorities, with experience on design, pre-construction, construction, final inspection and turn-over of facilities. Pay Range
$76,687.00 - $99,691.00
