Job Summary
This position is with the Southwestern Division of the US Army Corps of Engineers in Dallas, TX. It is a GS-13 Interdisciplinary position and can be filled in any one of the following occupational job series: 0020-Community Planner 0110-Regional Economist 0150-Geographer 0193- Archeologist 0401-Biologist 0408-Ecologist 0801-General Engineer 0807-Landscape Architect 0810-Civil Engineer 1301-Physical Scientist
Major Duties
- Serve as a policy expert and plan formulation for water and related land resource projects to include but not limited to flood damage reduction, ecosystem restoration, environmental infrastructure, and multipurpose projects for hydropower.
- Manage all planning program related matters pertaining to the division.
- Review study objectives, schedules and development of future study proposals.
- Provide the division and districts direction for the improvement of the quality control and quality assurance program for the formulation.
- Review planning documents for adequacy of engineering, economic and environmental details and compliance with federal policy and objectives.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Pay Range
$95,253.00 - $123,826.00
