Job Summary
Works under general supervision of the Chief, Technical Services Support Branch with the responsibility of initiating action in carrying out all policies in connection with the assigned project management activities within the Memphis District.
Major Duties
- Serves as the lead Project Manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned projects for Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) work and other assignments including Work for Others (WFO).
- Implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations and policy in the development of assigned projects.
- Reviews and evaluates project status for attainment of objectives.
- Plans, programs, and schedules for the attainment of goals and objectives.
- Coordinates team initiatives through the activities of a team of engineers and program analyst to ensure mission accomplishment.
- Allocates project funds, including contingency funds, to District elements, consistent with progress attained, and measures and monitors performance to assure project commitments are being maintained.
- Reviews and analyzes costs to assure charges are authorized and appropriate.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes responsible to assure the efficient and effective accomplishment and coordination of the planning, scoping, development, design, construction, maintenance, and direction of major project(s), specifically OCO Projects, and planning activities and programs. Knowledge of oversight of the budget for the project, the review of all statistical and estimating reports, internal and external review and the timeliness of project completion phases. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Pay Range
$88,704.00 - $115,313.00
