Job Summary

Integrates sponsor/customer requirements and participation into a comprehensive management plan that is fully coordinated with all contributing agencies and organizations; establish responsibilities and set expectations; control and manage the project budgets and schedules, assuring District commitments to the sponsor/customer are met; and serving as the District's primary point-of-contact for sponsor/customer and other external agencies on assigned projects.

Major Duties

  • Serve as Project Manager responsible for overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned programs and projects
  • Coordinate the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental considerations for navigation, flood damage reduction, environmental restoration and military projects.
  • Control and manage project milestones and budgets from preliminary assessments through design, construction and initial operations.
  • Allocate project funds to district elements.
  • Measure and monitor performance to assure commitments are being maintained.
  • Represent agency, serving as primary point of contact for projects assigned.

Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes management of planning, scoping, design, construction, and direction of projects to support programs such as navigation, flood damage reduction, environmental restoration and international and interagency services; controls and management of project milestones and budgets; coordination with customers, other agencies, congressional interests and higher headquarters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Pay Range

$85,084.00 - $110,614.00
