Job Summary

Serves as a senior planner on interdisciplinary planning study teams responsible for planning and accomplishing investigations, analyses, formulation, and report preparation of plans for Civil Works planning projects. Major Duties

  • Assist the district policy compliance expert for interpreting policy as it applies to Civil Works planning matters for studies or projects being accomplished by the district.
  • Use Civil Works risk management techniques to review and approve the methodologies used, the assumptions made and the technical adequacy of the conclusions in Civil Works planning studies within the District.
  • Assist Planning Section Chief in executing Continuing Authorities Program, Investigations Program, and Environmental Stewardship Program.
  • Assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution for a Civil Works water resource problem.
  • Implement and lead the project delivery team on the Regional Business Process Manual for studies or projects being accomplished by the Civil Works Planning staff.
  • Serve as a senior reviewer and plan formulator to determine whether Civil Works technical and policy requirements have been adequately addressed.
  • Advise Planning leadership on the application of policy and the incorporation of risk management for district planning studies and projects.
