Job Summary

You will serve as a Interdisciplinary Community Planner/Engineer/Architect in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command of NAVFAC ROICC SIGONELLA. "This position is for a Community Planner and previous Community Planner experience is required."

Major Duties

  • You will produce a variety of facilities planning products and services in support of activities within the command.
  • You will make recommendations to decision-makers based on sound economic analysis.
  • You will prepare project documentation (e.g., construction, repair, and maintenance project development; real estate and environmental documents) to ensure the efficient delivery of facility planning products and services.
  • You will perform a facilities analysis (e.g., functional or economic development, expansion capabilities, circulation, physical security, physical and sociological community interrelationships) to verify if operational needs and requirements are met.
  • You will analyze facility measurement and space utilization data to address changing facility requirements and missions.
  • You will plan for future needs by evaluation existing conditions, confirming long range needs, and comparing available assets with approved facility requirements.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Prepare Basic Facility Requirements (BFR's), Asset Evaluations (AE's) and Facility Planning Documents; 2) Develop new approaches to resolve problems of space and land use; 3) Analyze engineering, real property management, and economic data to formulate appropriate alternatives; 4) Review and comment on engineering proposals, drawings, and specifications used in the design, construction, alteration and/or repair of facilities; and 5) Perform various aspects of facilities development including but not limited to compatible land use, encroachment issues, and explosives, airfield and other safety issues. Pay Range

$66,167.00 - $88,227.00
