Major Duties
- You will develop strategies to lead projects related to Facility Management Processes and Services including Energy Programs, Public Works Efficiency Initiatives, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- You will lead interdisciplinary teams across various business lines to ensure facility management, energy and sustainment processes, features, materials, and best practices are incorporated.
- You will provide management/technical support to assigned Field Activities, including development of guidance and policy.
- You will analyze current facility management and sustainment business practices to determine changes required for increased effectiveness and integration into existing work processes.
- You will evaluate sustainability program performance, effectiveness, and efficiency, making recommendations for process changes required to ensure effectiveness.
- You will serve as technical authority on assigned projects in terms of cost analysis, resource allocation planning, strategic planning, fact finding, and other key issues.
- You will furnish technical guidance and information on recommended resourcing strategies and the integration of enhanced sustainment practices.
Qualifications
This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or any State in the U.S. is required. NOTE: You must include a copy of your license with your application. Your resume must also demonstrate one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying project analyses methods and analytical evaluative methods in the review of facilities maintenance practices and work processes for the purposes of identifying/implementing efficiencies and cost savings; 2) Using automated systems, statistics and metrics to review and evaluate enterprise business processes; 3) Reviewing plans and specifications for new construction, facilities repair and maintenance projects to identify potential problems with facility maintenance and operations; and 4) Making recommendations to decision-makers for new, revised and/or improved methods to support facilities management goals. Pay Range
$88,888.00 - $115,552.00
