Job Summary

You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER in the Expeditionary Programs Office of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.

Major Duties

  • You will manage engineering projects to ensure completion and technical requirements are met.
  • You will compose planning documents (e.g., Program Management Plans, Acquisition Plans, System Engineering Management Plans, or Test and Evaluation Master Plans) for executing Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation (RDT and E) activities.
  • You will Identify problems and recommend solutions based on advanced knowledge of industrial engineering techniques and practices and application of progressive methods in industrial management.
  • You will evaluate contractor performance for conformance to established criteria for assigned program or project.

Qualifications

This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is a professional engineer license is required. Please provide a copy of the license at the time of applying. In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1). Advising on program planning for major single or multi-discipline systems, equipment, and facilities.2) Evaluating scientific engineering problems using complex techniques and testing procedures to recommend solutions. 3. Providing expert technical advice on complex conventional or novel systems or equipment containing several complex features (e.g. power management and distribution, facilities, construction technologies, fuels, amphibious or sealift systems and vehicles, etc.). Pay Range

$104,182.00 - $135,440.00
