Job Summary

You will serve as a SENIOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER in the FACILITIES ENGINEERING and ACQUISITION DIVISION of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.

Major Duties

  • You will be responsible for enforcing all technical and administrative provisions of assigned construction contracts.
  • You will serve as coach/trainer for members who have not attained the journey level of expertise and experience.
  • You will review and recommend approval of contractors' schedules of prices as the basis for payments and subsequent invoices.
  • You will evaluate the work of other engineers, architects and government contractors to resolve unusual and/or controversial issues, conditions, or conflicts involving management expectations, project design, scope, and construction practices.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Overseeing or providing construction engineering support for capital improvement projects; 2) Managing or providing significant assistance to the management of capital improvement projects from conception through close-out, to include scope, schedule, and cost; 3) Monitoring construction contractor quality and safety programs via available data and metrics and by conducting site visits; 4) Providing recommendations for resolving project problems due to design errors, unforeseen conditions, or changes in criteria; and 5) Preparing and presenting briefs related to scopes of work, design reviews, and contract negotiations. Pay Range

$99,172.00 - $128,920.00
