Job Summary

You will serve as a Interdisciplinary Engineer/Architect in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND PAC. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 10.64% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time. This interdisciplinary position will be filled as a (GS-0801) General Engineering, (GS-0808) Architecture, (GS-0810) Civil Engineering, (GS-0830) Mechanical Engineering or (GS-0850) - Electrical Engineering.

Major Duties

  • You will develop engineering project management plans to address the acquisition of engineering materials.
  • You will resolve unusual or unprecedented engineering problems in support of short and long-term engineering projects
  • You will review construction project parameters (e.g., integration, scope, time, cost, quality, communication, procurement, risk management) to recommend changes that will improve the overall project results
  • You will coordinate technical project management efforts (e.g., design, system development, evaluations, certifications) with contractors to make corrective adjustments for program success.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Engineering or Architect experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing project management engineering functions and advisory services for a broad range of shore facility projects; 2) Regulating the development of MILCON, Family Housing, Reimbursable, Navy Industrial Fund and special projects during the pre-design, design, acquisition and construction phases; 3) Planning, designing and constructing complex military construction (MILCON), demolition and maintenance/repair of projects; and 4) Communicating effectively through oral and written expression. Pay Range

$78,880.00 - $106,203.00
