Job Summary

You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/ARCHITECT supporting Reserve facilities in the PROJECT DEVELOPMENT AND ENGINEERING SERVICES BRANCH of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Major Duties

  • You will develop technical project of scope works and provide the independent government estimate of construction cost as well as construction contract pre-award project management and coordination.
  • You will deliver a wide variety of products and services to tenant activities within the installations geographic area of responsibility.
  • You will collaborate with other engineers and engineer technicians to promote the use of consistent project development and engineering related issues.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position (see Education section), your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Developing scopes of work and providing independent government estimates of construction costs and construction contract pre-award project management within a Public Works Department; 2) Collaborating with other engineers to promote the use of consistent project development to resolve engineering related issues; 3) Initiating requirements and maintaining required documentation in approved facilities databases and approved IT systems for both simple and complex construction, maintenance and repair of facility components and systems for a diverse set of customers; 4) Promoting and implementing effective, efficient and cost effective project management and engineering processes and procedures; and 5) Facilitating relationships, communications and resolutions of projects' issues between a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders. Pay Range

$85,865.00 - $111,629.00
