Job Summary

You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/ARCHITECT PROJECT MANAGER in the Capital Improvements Business Line of . This interdisciplinary position will be filled as an Architect (0808), Fire Protection Engineer (0804), Civil Engineer (0810), Mechanical Engineer (0830), or Electrical Engineer (0850).

Major Duties

  • You will oversee design and construction projects efforts to ensure facilities and infrastructure related project scope, schedules and budgets are managed within fiscal and regulatory expectations and constraints.
  • You will manage overall coordination for project validation and phased development to determine feasibility of proposed work.
  • You will prepare scopes of work for design and construction projects (e.g., buildings, horizontal structures).
  • You will develop solutions to resolve project conflicts and disagreements revolving around scope, criteria, regulatory requirements, technical architect engineer problems, and areas of responsibility.
  • You will advise on solutions to problems encountered during the design and construction.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying advanced concepts, principles, and practices in one or more engineering fields (i.e., electrical, mechanical, civil, architecture, fire protection) to complete construction management objectives; 2) Administering construction contracts from pre-bid to completion; 3) Reviewing, assessing, and resolving construction design issues; 4) Leading, training, or mentoring others to achieve construction engineering objectives; and 5) Applying new developments and innovations to solve construction problems that do not have standard or readily available solutions. Pay Range

$85,865.00 - $111,629.00
