Major Duties

  • You will serve as a Capital Improvements Business Line Project Manager and will provide project management through technical engineering and/or architectural services for a broad range of facilities.
  • You will communicate acceptable technical architectural and engineering design and construction requirements to Architect-Engineering (AE) firms providing contract services to the organization.
  • You will represent the organization in conferences with project stakeholders and collaborate with other disciplines to develop execution plans assuring timely completion of work within available funds and authorized scope.
  • You will identify areas of risk associated with design and construction and develop mitigation strategies or alternatives.
  • You will participate as a member of Architect/Engineering selection boards and provide recommendations for contract awards.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing project management of facilities design and construction projects; 2) Reviewing architectural and engineering plans and specifications for accuracy, economy of design, practicability and conformance with technical guidance, criteria and good construction practice; 3) Recommending solutions to engineering and architectural issues encountered in the design and construction of facilities; 4) Monitoring the execution of facility design and construction contracts. Pay Range

$85,865.00 - $111,629.00
