Job Summary
You will serve as a Engineer, Oceanographer, or Physicist in the Mission Systems Group, Avionics Engineering Department, Avionics Systems Engineering Division, Avionics Systems Engineering Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This announcement uses the Acquisition expedited hiring authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
Major Duties
- You will establish long-range objectives and define financial support requirements, schedules and support needed for the execution of experimental and advanced development program(s).
- You will evaluate the effect of significant technological changes that may be introduce by alternative methods or invention.
- You will serve as the subject matter expert in the fields of acoustic sensors and signal processing, particularly as these fields relate to Airborne Non-Acoustic Anti-Submarine Warfare.
- You will report findings from experimental development in presentations, phase reports, and final reports.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Education Requirements listed below for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12/13) or pay band (DP-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directing and conducting Science and Technology investigations of underwater advanced sensor capabilities across all sites for Non-Acoustic Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) systems; 2) Planning, directing, and achieving the success of numerous advanced projects related to Non-Acoustic Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW); 3) Conceiving, evolving, and analyzing technical solutions for acoustics technology and Airborne ASW; 4) Interfacing with nationally and internationally recognized technology leaders in the Non-Acoustic ASW systems field. Pay Range
$121,316.00 - $170,800.00
