Job Summary
You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER (0819) OR PHYSICAL SCIENTIST (1301) in the ENVIRONMENTAL (EV) BUSINESS LINE of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC located in Norfolk, VA. This is an interdisciplinary position which may be filled by any of the following series: Environmental Engineer (0819), Physical Scientist (1301).
Major Duties
- You will negotiate with regulators on proposed environmental requirements.
- You will serves as the project manager for the products and services as assigned, with emphasis on high-risked, sensitive, unique, and complex projects required for Navy and Marine corps environmental compliance.
- You will monitor the progress of the work assigned to virtual and actual Environmental Team Members relative to project status.
- You will facilitate the resolution of environmental problems that occur or could occur in the environmental product delivery process.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing strategies for effective/efficient execution and oversight of Environmental Program; 2) Defining performance measurement by assisting in establishing metrics to define how well policy, systems, processes, and tools are serving the accomplishment of program goals and objectives; 3) Developing specific technical portions of Scopes of Work and government estimates for Architect & Engineer/Environmental Services contracts needed to assist clients in managing their environmental requirements and responsibilities; 4) Coordinating and integrating technical interpretations of local, state, Federal, and European environmental regulatory requirements; 5) Arranging for resources (personnel or equipment) to be assigned to environmental projects, tasks, and service requests that are requested in the Area of Responsibility. Pay Range
$88,888.00 - $115,552.00
