Job Summary
You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/PHYSICAL SCIENTIST in the ENVIRONMENTAL BUSINESS LINE of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.
Major Duties
- You will review all engineering and design projects to modify existing facilities or construction of new facilities ensuring environmental standards are met.
- You will develop or approve scopes of work for the acquisition of contractual support requirements and monitor execution and compliance.
- You will explain scope of work, funding requests, technical parameters, and operational requirements to contractors to conduct engineering studies.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving on projects of complex scope involving the planning, study, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of environmental restoration and remediation facilities methods; 2) Serving as team leader during environmental engineering evaluations, investigations, and site visits and planning all phases of the investigation and remediation; 3) Communicating routinely with all levels within and outside the command, including regulatory agencies, Architect/Engineering (A/E) firms, professional organizations, and enforcement personnel. Pay Range
$74,596.00 - $96,978.00
