Job Summary
You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/GEOPHYSICIST/OCEANOGRAPHER in the ACOUSTICS DEPARTMENT of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Major Duties
- You will serve as Department Lead and Technical Advisor to the Director to provide guidance/oversight to divisions within the department.
- You will manage and prepare specifications and track locations for all geophysics/acoustics surveys.
- You will develop, document and maintain quality analysis and control processes as well as personnel training and certification requirements for acoustic and geophysical functions.
- You will serve as the NAVOCEANO point of contact for acoustic digital and geophysical databases
- You will provide scientific and technical advice, guidance and coordination regarding the various technical projects underway within the Department.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in geophysics and acoustic survey and data processing/analysis techniques. Experience constructing and managing a broad spectrum of activities related to naval warfare, scientific applications and systems analysis. Experience in geophysical and acoustic databases. Pay Range
$107,807.00 - $140,146.00
