Job Summary
Serve as the Production Center's senior specialist in Water Resources Plan Formulation. Apply water resources planning and project development expertise in serving as the water resources plan formulation expert for SPD-wide studies and projects.
Major Duties
- At the full performance you will serve as the water resources plan formulation expert for SPD-wide studies and projects.
- Review overall planning approach and methods to be applied to meet established planning objectives for CAP studies.
- Analyze overall planning study results including results of engineering, economic, and environmental studies to determine if objectives have been met and are technically sound.
- Provide plan formulation and policy compliance and chairs quality assurance/quality control review process for decision documents prepared by the Production Center.
- Provide authoritative advice and guidance to key staff within the District, and other officials at Federal, State, and County agency levels.
- Advise Production Center members who serve on project delivery teams about water resources plan formulation inputs required for CAP studies.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in federal service which includes participating on project delivery teams in developing water resources planning and project development. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). For the GS-13:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in federal service which includes experience in planning process and planning policy for civil works water resources projects, such as flood risk management, aquatic ecosystem restoration, or commercial navigation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement at the GS-12 grade: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Pay Range
$90,512.00 - $139,916.00
