Job Summary

Major Duties

  • You will establish methods and systems to monitor construction scheduling, progress reporting, safety monitoring, and other administrative documentation.
  • You will perform follow-up surveillance of all corrective work.
  • You will assess the effectiveness of contractor's Quality Control systems and approve contractor's proposals for correcting items of non-conformance.
  • You will evaluate technical data pertaining to materials, equipment, shop drawings, proposals for contract modifications and methods of installation submitted by contractors.
  • You will review, evaluate, and determine adequacy of shop drawings, samples, certificates of compliance, laboratory analyses and other submittals and data from contractors.

In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Apply Engineering/Architectural concepts, principles, and practices to duties concerned with design, renovation, construction, and contracting a variety of facilities (i.e. airfields, medical facilities, warehouses, parking lots); 2) Inspect construction sites and identify any problems with constructability of proposed projects; 3) Ensure the areas responsibilities among technical disciplines (i.e. electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural engineering) are managed properly and project objectives are met; and 4) Provides recommendation in writing on the progression and/or solutions of technical assignments. $64,009.00 - $99,741.00
