Job Summary

You will serve as a MANAGER in the WEAPONS CONTROL & INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER DAHLGREN DIVISION (NAVSURFWARCENDLD).

Major Duties

  • You will supervise and guide the execution of concept development, operations research, analysis, mechanical and electrical development, software development, system integration, testing and evaluation, and technology insertion.
  • You will provide technical and administrative leadership including strategic planning, overall task coordination, budget administration, resource management, performance evaluations, personnel development.
  • You will develop, design, manage, and assess technical projects to plan, coordinate and direct multiple complex engineering and scientific projects managed by various program offices, DoD or other government agencies.
  • You will grow and maintain a diverse workforce, identify and satisfy customer requirements, and leverage data and technologies to increase overall efficiency.
  • You will establish project objectives, evaluate alternatives, resolve technical problems, and develop overall project plans of action.
  • You will partner with commercial industry, academia, and federal, state and local governments.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or scientist providing technical oversight and direction in the execution of weapons systems Research and Development (R&D) functions.
