Job Summary
You will serve as a MANAGER in either the Airborne Electro-Optic Systems Branch (JXQL) or Energy Systems Specialized Test and Evaluation Branch (JXMN) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The ND-05 pay band is equivalent to the GS-14/15 pay grades. The salary range shown in the announcement represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position. The salary is limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently $140,146).
Major Duties
- You will manage and oversee aspects of acquisition, project planning, project proposal "white paper" preparation/presentation, technology "road-mapping," technology readiness level assessments, and partnering with scientific and academic communities.
- You will work in an integrated product engineering environment applying system engineering concepts and product life-cycle sustainment.
- You will develop and implement the organization's project and programmatic policies and procedures, and determine criteria for assessing effectiveness.
- You will utilize continuous improvement (CI), statistical methods, and management controls.
- You will oversee commercial off the shelf (COTS) evaluations, technology insertion, prototyping, and test and evaluation processes.
- You will provide a full range of supervisory oversight (administrative and technical), executing a workload consistent with organizational initiatives and objectives and providing outstanding support and service to assigned customers.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer or Scientist leading the development, planning or execution of engineering projects, programs or initiatives. Pay Range
$91,231.00 - $164,858.00
