Job Summary

You will serve as a BRANCH MANAGER in the ENERGETICS TECHNOLOGY DIVISION within the ORDNANCE COMPONENT TECHNOLOGY BRANCH of NAVSURFWARCEN IHEODTECHDIV.

Major Duties

  • You will manage the Ordnance Component Technology Branch (E36)
  • You will be responsible for management, supervision, and oversight of weapons systems
  • You will be responsible for performing standard personnel duties, conducting performance reviews, establishing development and training plans.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring project execution, establish direct branch workload to include development of proposals (including cost and schedule) and conduct marketing to ensure future workload.
  • You will will ensure that Indian Head policy and safety requirements are communicated to employees.
  • You will be responsible for assigning tasking, reviewing and staffing documentation and reports, and monitoring cost, schedule, performance, and quality on assigned projects.
  • You will plan, coordinate, manage and direct the work of the branch in carrying out program responsibilities.
  • You will oversee the planning and execution of complex projects.
  • You will develop methods to improve efficiency

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 pay band or GS-12/13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Professional Engineer or Scientist providing direction or guidance in the execution of work efforts related to energetic systems and components. This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a General Engineer (0801-series), a Physical Scientist (1550-series), or a Mathematician/Statistician (1501-series) depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. Pay Range

$102,663.00 - $170,800.00
