Job Summary

You will serve as a NATURAL RESOURCE SPECIALIST/ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/PHYSICAL SCIENTIST in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Washington ofNAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH. This is an Interdisciplinary position which may be filled by the following series: NATURAL RESOURCE SPECIALIST (0401), ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER (0819), PHYSICAL SCIENTIST (1301).

In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in the management and support of environmental programs associated with clean water (industrial or sanitary wastewater), hazardous waste or petroleum storage in compliance with natural resources; 2) Assisting in the environmental regulation review of projects and proposed actions and plans for compliance with existing and proposed environmental permits; 3) Assisting in preparing guidelines, point papers, scopes of work, and cost estimates; 4) Assisting in the development to implement Environmental Management Systems and compliance audits; and 6) Experience with wetlands, natural management, specie identification, surveys and management. OR

Successful completion of a 5 year program of study of at least 160 semester hours leading to a bachelor's degree in engineering and have one year of appropriate professional experience that required and was characterized by 1) professional knowledge of engineering, 2) professional ability to apply such knowledge to engineering problems, and 3) positive and continuing development of professional knowledge and ability. Successful completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement and one year of professional engineering experience that required and was characterized by 1) professional knowledge of engineering, 2) professional ability to apply such knowledge to engineering problems, and 3) positive and continuing development of professional knowledge and ability. OR

Successful

completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree.

OR

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. In which the percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. GS-07

$48,670.00 - $77,396.00
