Major Duties
This position serves as the technical lead as the Natural Resources Specialist (Monitoring Data Coordinator), for the Division of Resource Services, Branch of Assessment and Monitoring, you will perform the following duties:
- Serve as the project coordinator for multiple, simultaneous projects supporting data collection, storage, use, for the natural resources monitoring data lifecycle and training.
- Provide leadership and coordination for interdisciplinary teams.
- Serve as the AIM technical lead for data solutions and vision.
- Communicate monitoring program data solutions and tools to diverse audiences including scientists, managers, stakeholders and the public.
- Coordinate with other agencies, interest groups, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that the Bureau is implementing current best management practices for the management of monitoring data.
- Oversee correct calculation of monitoring indicators and the development of tools and related trainings for data capture, management process for multiple resources monitoring data, and access.
- Create standards for metadata and data documentation. Manages data storage, protocols as related to change management, data tracking, progress reporting, timeline adherence, and workloads.

In addition to meeting the education requirement, you must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: Working across the natural resources data lifecycle that includes field data collection, QA/QC, data ingest and storage solutions, and data access for analysis; experience describing and overseeing the processes from natural resources field work to analysis including but not limited to capture quality assurance, quality control solutions, ingestion, storage, analysis, and visualization; experience with project management of natural resources database design, creation, implementation, and field data collection for broad-scale data management; experience in integrating ESRI ArcGIS 10.1 or newer throughout a geospatial data lifecycle.

Pay Range
$100,027.00 - $130,039.00
