Job Summary

Serves as Physical Scientist analyst providing military support through on-site and reach back capabilities (geospatial training, collection, production, and dissemination) to the Warfighter and the U.S. Army Geospatial Enterprise. These are permanent positions.

Major Duties

  • Terrain analysis and imagery analysis related capabilities
  • Plan and perform geodetic survey missions in support of military operations, both CONUS and OCONUS
  • Utilize imagery processing software and applications (i.e. ESRI, ERDAS, ENVI, QTM)
  • Plan, collect, and post processed aerial imagery collected using small unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
  • Use National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Product and Services; hardcopy and digital softcopy maps as well as the various online GEOINT services NGA provides on NIPR and classified networks
  • Provide military support; deployed with military forces to provide in geo-visualization support at the Army Brigade Combat Team, Division, Corps, and up to joint operational command level
  • Geospatial Data collection resources and methods.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience, at the next lower grade (GS-11),which includes: Formulating and conducting analytical, geospatial, and state-of-the-art geographic information systems (GIS) data integration, and research and analysis initiatives. Contributing to the geospatial development and data integration objectives, programs. Maintaining intra-agency contacts with scientists and engineers at all levels. Applying in-depth analyses to assist with determining requirements for advanced work in geospatial products and services. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Pay Range

$86,335.00 - $112,240.00
