Major Duties
As a Program Coordinator (Terrestrial), within the Division of Resource Services, Branch of Assessment and Monitoring, your duties will include:
- Interacts with various agency representatives, managers, and scientists at various geographic locations at multiple levels to coordinate effective field implementation of work and issues.
- Oversees the data collection logistics for the AIM field data collection program as it is implemented through state, district and field offices and/or contractors/partners, ensuring training, equipment, and agreement/contracting needs are met to effectively complete annual sampling.
- Provides logistical support for, and assists in development of, protocol and training to ensure that data collected are consistent with the needs of the program.
- Provides technical support and coordination for the AIM field implementation program, and monitors/evaluates projects and practices associated with conducting natural resource assessment, recommending improvements as necessary.
- Ensures that data collected are assessed for quality through a standardized quality control/quality assurance program developed by the data manager.
- Oversees and may prepare contracts, agreements, purchase requisitions, micro-purchase requests, and Memoranda of Understandings or other partnership/collaboration tools.
- Employs critical thinking about current business processes, potential refinements, and other untested mechanisms for improved efficiencies (financial, time, etc.).

Specialized Experience Requirements: In addition to meeting the positive education requirement, your resume must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade (GS-09) of the position to be filled. Examples include: Coordinating field natural resource monitoring across multiple crews, including planning and managing logistics, ensuring training requirements are met, and ensuring work is produced accurately and in a timely manner -or- 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Pay Range
$67,956.00 - $88,348.00
