Job Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEER or SCIENTIST or MANAGER in the ENGINEERING & ANALYSIS DIVISION within the RANGES, ENGINEERING AND ANALYSIS DEPT of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15. The ND-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-12 and GS-13.

Major Duties

  • You will serve as the Branch Head for the Undersea Modeling Branch, C7023.
  • You will determine methods to analyze and monitor costs and forecast budgets to ensure sound fiscal management.
  • You will serve as a standing member of the Code 70 Technical review Board (TRB) and have responsibility to provide technical vision, strategy, and execution.
  • You will coordinate workload and tasking throughout the branch and maintain a cohesive environment within the branch and across all projects.
  • You will set objectives for and evaluate subordinate's work, resolve work problems and establish goals and priorities.
  • You will lead a team of diverse individuals comprised of engineers and scientists as their first line supervisor and report directly to the Division Head, C702.

Qualifications

For the ND-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) in the Federal service, or in the public or private sector as a professional engineer or scientist managing the analysis or computation of modeling for the development of undersea acoustics or technologies. For the ND-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band ND-03 (GS-9/11 equivalent) in the Federal service, or in the public or private sector as a professional engineer or scientist analyzing or computing modeling for the development of undersea acoustics or technologies. Pay Range

$71,274.00 - $170,800.00
