Major Duties

  • Provide technical assistance and advice to others regarding the interpretation and application of energy and minerals exploration and development laws, regulations and policies.
  • Supervise program leaders in Energy and Minerals Disciplines.
  • Work with established division teams to update a strategic plan.
  • Provide input on funding priorities for discretional projects.
  • Represent the organization in meetings and conferences relevant to the implementation of laws, regulations, and policies related to energy and minerals management.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying: To be eligible for this position at the GS-14 grade level, you must possess the following: One full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following: 1) developing regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines to assist parks in protecting resources and values from energy and minerals exploration and development actives; (2) directing the activities of personnel by establishing work assignments, schedules, and priorities while ensuring accountability; (3) allocating budget to division program leaders, reviews project proposals, and oversees implementation; (4) maintaining working relationships across a broad spectrum, including high-level elected and appointed officials, representatives of the organization, other federal agencies, as well as state and local entities, corporations, and the general public. TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies".

Pay Range

$118,202.00 - $153,659.00
