Major Duties
You will:
- Serve as the Associate Director for the Land, Chemicals, and Redevelopment Division (LCARD) and the Air and Radiation Division (ARD). In the absence of the Division Director, serve as the acting Division Director with all authorities and responsibilities delegated to that position.
- Represent the Divisions and Region 10 in the resolution of policy disputes with senior officials of other government agencies and private organizations.
- Represent and negotiate on behalf of EPA policy makers in interagency work groups and recommending policy options to decision makers.
- Perform comprehensive analysis of national policies relating to program issues in LCARD and ARD, and anticipate national policy impacts on implementation of the air and waste programs in the Region.
Qualifications
You do not need a degree to qualify for this position.We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as experience providing leadership in improving the performance of an organization and monitoring the budget, human, or informational resources within an organization; conducting briefings for government, industrial officials and the public where technical or scientific concepts are presented; and experience negotiating agreements on matters involving differing perspectives or positions.Your answers to the on-line assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Ability to lead and direct professional staff.

Knowledge of air and waste programs. Pay Range
$134,352.00 - $166,500.00
