Job Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMETAL CONTROL SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Major Duties

  • You will plan and coordinate work assignments of the organization in order to meet schedule and priorities established by higher level of supervision.
  • You will manage the processes used to compost yard debris and horse manure.
  • You will ensure temperature measurements are taken to make sure compost is curing properly to meet state guidelines for public use.
  • You will perform personnel functions including training of personnel, orienting new personnel, preparing performance measurements and appraisals.
  • You will plan, develop, and conduct analyses of all recycling commodities generated aboard the Base.
  • You will conduct program surveys, audits, projects, etc. and provide written recommendations on issues relates to recycling program.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing environmental compliance evaluations and inspections; plans, develops, and conducts analyses of all recycling commodities generated aboard the Base; conducts scientific monitoring of recycling program to evaluate potential in reaching solid waste diversion goals; and gathering data to support day to day environmental management operations. Pay Range

$52,905.00 - $68,777.00
