Major Duties
- Inform, interpret for and advise the Field Office Director or Regional Director, office program directors, (Housing, Public Housing and CPD), and other staff as appropriate, in the implementation of the Department's environmental and energy policies.
- Serve as the chief point of contact within the region for all HUD offices requiring environmental guidance.
- Serve as the principal point of contact within the region on establishing and implementing all performance goals within the context of the Department’s Management Plan.
- Approve and monitor FEO work plans to meet Management Plan Objectives and carry out Department Environment Policies.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Planning, implementing, directing, or evaluating environmental compliance reviews; AND - Leading/managing a team of environmental protection professionals.
Time-in-Grade:In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.Time After Competitive Appointment:Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
Pay Range
$113,581.00 - $147,652.00
