Job Summary

The selectee for this position will serve as a Supervisory Interdisciplinary in the Geospatial Analysis Production Br. (NP222), Geospatial Analysis & Support Division (NP22), Littoral and Riverine Department (NP2) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.

Major Duties

  • You will provide planning, integration, and coordination support in order to fully transition and implement cutting-edge techniques and processes for oceanographic GIS data.
  • You will capture production, dissemination, and customer use metrics of all NP2 products, web services and web applications.
  • You will review and evaluate completed work products to assure technical accuracy.
  • You will provide information, advice and recommend solutions to problems affecting the branch.
  • You will assure operation and applications follow established Configuration Management processes.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with the concepts, theories, principles and practices of oceanography, imagery analysis, remote sensing or other physical science Experience planning, managing, reviewing and assuming responsibility for project management functions of an organization in the fields of computer science or geospatial information systems (GIS) Experience applying geospatial analysis data fusion techniques to disseminate oceanographic, remotely sensed and/or intelligence data and products compiled by the Littoral & Riverine Department. Pay Range

$91,231.00 - $118,603.00
