Job Summary
You will serve as the Technology Development Branch Head in the Environmental Department of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This interdisciplinary position will be filled as a Supervisory General Engineer (0801), Supervisory Civil Engineer (0810), Supervisory Environmental Engineer (0819), Supervisory Mechanical Engineer (0830), or Supervisory Chemical Engineer (0893).
Major Duties
- You will supervise development of compliance technologies, specialized engineering technology services and customer support, technology transfer, environmental information and metrics, and technical assistance.
- You will manage sponsor program support, Navy Working Capital Fund overhead budget, project execution of core work, personnel, and staffing levels.
- You will serve as a technical leader within the Navy, and to other Federal and State agencies on matters involving technology development and technology transfer of new and innovative environmental technologies.
- You will coordinate with customers to promote command capabilities within the Environmental Product Line and to enhance project execution.
- You will provide staff with the tools and facilities necessary to do their jobs including the appropriate information technology.
Qualifications
This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your current PE license with your application. In addition to meeting the selective placement factor, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading, managing, or supervising a team of engineers, scientists, and specialists in achieving environmental project objectives; 2) Managing personnel and financial resources for an assigned branch or workgroup; 3) Ensuring customers are satisfied with environmental compliance technology services; and 4) Writing and discussing technical engineering/science reports for high-level audiences. Pay Range
$123,111.00 - $160,041.00
