Job Summary

You will serve as the DIRECTOR, FACILITY MANAGEMENT DIVISION (FMD) in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC ROICC BAHRAIN. The selectee for this position serves for an 18-month tour unaccompanied by dependents. The current workweek is Sunday through Thursday. Employees hired from continental U.S. will receive Sunday Premium Pay (computed at 25% of basic hourly rate, eight hours per week).

Major Duties

  • You will assign work to staff based on the architectural and engineering requirements of facility construction objectives.
  • You will approve fund allocation for architect-engineer projects that meet Department of Defense (DoD) cost standards and budgetary guidance.
  • You will develop construction projects to verify organizations have sufficient facilities to support their missions.
  • You will develop facility lifecycle requirements to verify sufficient infrastructure exists to support organization mission capabilities.

Qualifications

This position has a Selective Placement Factor - This position requires registration as a Professional Engineer/Architect. (Note: If you claim to be registered, you must submit a copy of your registration with your application to be considered for the position.) In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1) Providing expert guidance to authorities in regards to policies, procedures, and technical requirements related to the facilities planning, contracting, acquisition, business and financial management, and asset management processes;

2) Presenting briefs on facilities use and planning to necessary personnel;

3) Analyzing data to determine potential problems with facilities and public works program management; and

4) Applying management and leadership skills in setting priorities, allocating resources, motivating and coordinating the work of employees to improve productivity of managed personnel. Pay Range

$76,687.00 - $99,691.00
