Job Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER in the Utilities Division of the Facilities Department, Marine Corps Air Station of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI.
Major Duties
- You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of utility plants and associated distribution systems (i.e. electrical, potable water, sanitary/storm sewer and steam).
- You will evaluate engineering design, construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of utilities equipment and systems to resolve any issues in a timely matter.
- You will develop designs for energy projects involving civil systems (e.g., water, wastewater, electrical utility systems) to reduce energy costs.
- You will analyze energy consumption reports to plan reduction strategies that increase renewable energy use and sustainability.
- You will perform the full range of personnel supervision including performance evaluation, selection of employees, hearing grievances, and making disciplinary actions.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Educational Requirements: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate work as a professional Engineer, leading and providing technical expertise in the operation and maintenance of a base, post, campus, municipality, or city utility plant and their associated distribution systems (e.g., electrical, portable water, sanitary/storm sewer or steam). Pay Range
$68,373.00 - $92,639.00
