Job Summary
This position is located at a multiple-use lake office, which has a variety of park facilities, substantial and recurring natural resource management activities, and high annual visitation by public visitors. Serves as Supervisory Natural Resource Specialist and shares responsibility for supervising, planning, scheduling, assigning, and reviewing the work assigned employees in operation, maintenance and overall management of the assigned area.
Major Duties
- Responsible for the administration, direction, management and control of the interpretive programs for visitors to the dam and lake.

- Coordinate efforts of federal, state, local, civic, social, and others to obtain interest and support including the use of the press, radio and television in furthering Corps policy and programs.
- Review reservoir Commercial Site Inspection Sheets documenting safety and sanitary conditions, general appearance of site, condition of equipment, fueling stations, storage areas, structures, grounds and facilities.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing programs, methods, and techniques to minimize operation and maintenance costs in the parks and other open spaces areas to minimize overuse and the resulting adverse impacts to natural resources, and to protect the high resource values and quality park experiences.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: [insert applicable field(s) of study]. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Pay Range
$62,236.00 - $80,912.00
