Job Summary

Serves as a Survey Technician, assigned to the Survey Function, Engineering Services Division, Engineering Department of the United States Section, International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC). Performs a wide variety of surveying assignments in support of operations and maintenance activities while stationed at USIBWC headquarters.

Major Duties

Apply land surveying techniques and methods using established policies and procedures.
Operate various surveying equipment.
Use computer software related to survey instruments.
Communicate orally and in writing.
Create and write reports from researched and collected survey data.

Qualifications

Qualifications must be met by 11/29/2019 Minimum Qualification Requirement - To qualify for this position, you must have: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG-7 level in the Federal service or equivalent pay bands (this experience could have been obtained in either the public or private sector) that equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform successfully the duties of this position. Specialized experience is described as: knowledge, skills and understanding of surveying techniques and methods, ability to operate surveying equipment, ability to use computer software related to surveying instruments to download and produce accurate data, ability to perform mathematic computations for area, distance, elevation, volume, etc. and operate various motor vehicles to include outboard motor boat. Pay Range

$46,572.00 - $60,543.00
