Job Summary
You will serve as the Technical Program Manager within the Maritime Mission Systems Division (E10) at the NAVSURFWARCTR PANAMA CITY DIVISION supporting the Undersea Mobility product area, which includes wet combat submersibles, unmanned underwater vehicles, and related technology.
Major Duties
- You will demonstrate knowledge and experience in systems design, development, and testing and evaluation for underwater systems to include pressure boundaries, piping, material selection, corrosion, sealing, and life support requirements.
- You will demonstrate knowledge of engineering principles and DoD acquisition policies by leading and implementing these policies and principles in engineering, management, and technical execution of systems across their lifecycle.
- You will identify and correct areas of weakness and gaps in engineering processes and practices.
- You will coach and mentor project managers, task leaders and project engineers to execute sponsor tasking in accordance with their expectations and the program management competency lead.
- You will demonstrate knowledge of NAVSEA Engineering and Technical Authority Policy as it relates to Engineering Agent assignments and technical capabilities health for resource planning to meet future Navy needs.
- You will advise and speak authoritatively at all levels of the organization (including Flag and Senior Execute level) on execution status, issues, and resources.
- You will develop written correspondence, programmatic and technical documents, proposals, action plans, briefings, point papers, and contracts in a succinct and organized manner.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional Engineer or Scientist overseeing engineering, project management, and technical knowledge to undersea mobility systems. Pay Range
$91,231.00 - $164,858.00
