A screen shot of the Engineering For You Video Contest III

There are 20 more days left to vote for the People's Choice Award in the Engineering for You Video Contest. This is the third year the National Academy of Engineering has hosted the "Engineering for You Video Contest." This year, they're asking participants to describe their dream "mega engineering" project - a project that spans "disciplines, geographies and cultural boundaries." The Grand Prize team will take home $25,000 dollars. Decide which is best by voting for your favorite of the 13 videos on their website.

'One Shared Place' Contest Invites Educator-Student Videos

Leading up to Earth Science Week 2016, the American Geosciences Institute (AGI) is pleased to invite teams of educators and students to enter its new "One Shared Place" contest. Each team will submit a 30- to 90-second original video informing viewers about an outdoor place that is special in terms of geoheritage (natural features, settings, and resources formed over vast periods) and geoscience (the study of Earth systems).

"Life as a Geoscientist" Photo Contest

We are looking for any and all geoscience images featuring your internships, research, or geoscience work as a whole. Photos can be entered into three different categories: Outdoor Lab, Indoor Lab, and Data Visualization. We want your best photos showing what geoscience work and research looks like and why you love being a geoscientist. Submitting epic photos allows participants the opportunity to win prizes!
