NRC - The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is denying two petitions for rulemaking, submitted on behalf of 34 environmental organizations. The petitioners request that the NRC revise certain regulations that concern the environmental impacts of spent fuel storage and disposal for nuclear power plant license applications.
