Dr. David McConnell, succeeding Dr. Don Duggan-Haas as the new President of NAGT, is a Professor of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences at North Carolina State University. McConnell's research focuses on geoscience education, and in particular, on assessment of learning in introductory courses, the relationship between teaching beliefs and practices, and professional development of graduate students and faculty.
